Gravitational wave (GW) searches from binary black holes have so far focused on circular binaries. This is based on the assumption that their orbit circularizes (due to emission of GW) much before the orbital frequency enters sensitivity band of ground based interferometric detectors. However, many proposed formation mechanism support formation of binaries which retain eccentricity throughout their lifetime. In my talk I will discuss the search dedicated to eccentric binaries which I performed on the data obtained from LIGO/Viro detectors.
