Below is a preliminary list of events. Further speaker events and the Summer Social have yet to be arranged. Our largest observing meetings, are held at Rodington Village Hall on the western edge of Rodington village. It is well placed for the two main centres of population in the county and boasts a warm hall in which to shelter during cloudy periods (as if), lots of space to set up your telescope and tea making and biscuit eating facilities. In addition to the Rodington observing meetings, we are pleased to announce that Stan Courtney is again organising some local observing sessions for members at Fords Heath Caravan Park, near Shrewsbury. These are very convenient and fun for those on the western side of the county. Stan can be contacted on 01743 850055 or 07876 230046. Directions follow the meeting list.

For Rodington: from the A5/A49 junction east of Shrewsbury, go north on the A49. Then at the roundabout go right on the B5062 toward Roden. As you start to leave Roden go right toward Rodington. Follow the signs to Rodington - theres at least two left turns. As you approach the village the Hall is on the right. If you reach the pub turn round and go back a couple of hundred yards.

For Ford: take the A458 out of Shrewsbury toward Welshpool. When you enter the 40 mph zone at Ford you will pass the SAffron Cottage Indian Restaurant and Shell garage on the left. At the next crossroads turn left, and follow the signs to the caravan park (1.5 miles). Observing begins at 8pm. For those of you with GOTO ‘scopes the location is: 52 41 57N 2 51 49W.
