The following text is the SAS press release regarding our recent good fortune on the fund raising side.

"The Shropshire Astonomical Society (SAS) are delighted to announce that their application for 4490 UKP has been approved by the "Awards for All" organisation. The SAS, which has been holding public meetings in Shrewsbury for over 8 years (2003), will be using some of the money to finance two public National Astronomy Week meetings coinciding with the exceptionally close approach of Mars during August 2003."
